Keiko Agena was born and raised in Honolulu Hawaii. She began acting when
she was 10 years old, (she wasn't athletic enough to do sports) at the Performing Arts school
now known as Mid - Pacific School of the Arts. She was one of the 4 students there to meet President Bush!
Soon after she graduated, she moved to L.A and has been
steadily working there with theatre, televison and movies since then. Her main hit has been Lane on Gilmore Girls
and Leila Foster in Felicity.
Keiko will co-star in the movie "Beauty Shop" with Mo'Nique
Imes-Jackson(The Parkers), Kellita Smith (Bernie Mac Show), and Taraji P. Henson(Baby Boy). A Magic Johnson production, for
release this year. Before landing her role on "Gilmore Girls", Keiko was no stranger to television. She had appeared in a
recurring role on the WB's "Felicity" as well as guest-starred on such programs as "Beverly Hills 90210", "ER", "Sister, Sister"
and "Renegade". Additionally she appeared in the made-for-TV-movie "Terror in the Shadows", as well as the independent feature
"Hundred Percent". Other films include the romantic lead in "Red Thread" and recently Keiko took on the challenging role of
a young womanstruggling with anorexia nervosa in Lifetime's "Strong Medicine", as well as guest star in Nickelodeon's "Nightmare
In her spare time she enjoys playing cards and computer
games. She also enjoys playing drums. She slaves away at Blacklava Clothing Company shops and resides in L.A with her 2 cats
Seth and Ben.
